A Few Simple Tips to Happier, Healthier Living

Some suggestions for a fabulous 2011

Tips for daily living

Give it all. No holding back. Use everything you’ve got.

Read more books in 2011 than last year.

Live with the 3 E's -
Energy, Enthusiasm, and Empathy.

Make time to practice meditation, yoga, and singing.
They provide us with daily fuel for our busy lives.

Dream more while you are awake.

Eat more foods that grow on trees and plants
and eat less food that is manufactured in factories.

Play more games.

Agree to disagree.

Remind yourself that you don't have to win every argument.

Don't compare your partner with others or
focus on their past mistakes as it ruins your present happiness.

Always remember, no one is in charge of
your happiness except you.

Forgive everyone for everything.
Make peace with your past so it won't spoil the present.

Try to live with an open heart, even if it hurts.

Enjoy plenty of whole grains, fruits and vegetables.

Take a 10-30 minute walk every day.
While you walk remember to breathe deeply and smile.

Sit in silence for at least 10 minutes each day.

Sleep for at least 7 hours.

Make someone smile each day.

Try not to take yourself too seriously.

Seva: each day give/do something good to others.

Become more aware of your negative thoughts
and let them go. Instead invest your energy
in the positive present moment.
